Ai DCIAI Data Center Incident Database

About

Why this project exists

AI Data Center Incident Database makes public records about AI data centers easier to find and understand by organizing them in one searchable place, each linked to its original source.

What we record

Entries are drawn from public sources — filings, permits, agency and utility notices, meeting minutes, and reporting. The categories we track include:

  • Power demand and grid interconnection requests.
  • Water use and withdrawal permits.
  • Emissions, air quality, and noise complaints.
  • Land use, zoning, and local land decisions.
  • Permits and regulatory decisions.
  • Outages and other operational incidents.

How records are reviewed

  1. Anyone can suggest an incident with a source link.
  2. An administrator checks the source and details.
  3. Only approved records are published to the database.
