On August 20, 2025 a fire broke out in a room at the Chirisa Technology Parks data center at 1401 Meadowville Technology Park, Chesterfield County, Virginia. Chesterfield County Fire and EMS said it was contained to the room and no one was injured. DCD reported the facility is believed to be part of a joint venture providing data center capacity for AI cloud company CoreWeave; that AI connection was not confirmed by the company.
