On October 15, 2022, a fire broke out at about 3:33 p.m. at the SK C&C data center in Pangyo, which housed infrastructure used by Kakao and Naver. Power was cut for safety, disrupting KakaoTalk messaging and logins, Kakao Pay, Kakao Games, Daum and Melon, along with some Naver shopping services; no casualties were reported.
