Gulf States Newsroom reported that, according to police records, at least 64 crashes occurred on roads around Meta's Hyperion data center construction site in 2025 through September, compared with nine the year before, as thousands of dump trucks and 18-wheelers travel to the site daily. Holly Ridge Elementary School closed its playground facing the road over truck safety concerns.
