On May 23, 2026, heavy rain broke through a silt fence at the Monarch Compute Campus construction site (Nscale and Fidelis New Energy), sending water and mud into neighboring homes in the Meadowlands Estates subdivision near Point Pleasant. State lawmakers said damage was mainly to garages, crawlspaces and HVAC equipment, with no injuries. The company said the storm exceeded its temporary erosion controls and pledged to pay cleanup and repair costs.
